yes, I say that alot, "beauty is what's seen through the eyes of love". I "think love" and can turn a conversation around. Also, because I don't have a romantic interest in my life right now (well there is someone I fancy, but he doesn't fancy me), I think I've written some very nice poetry and lyrics.
I've even gone so far as to think "I love you" under my breath to people I meet... you should see the smiles I get back and sometimes they give me little presents or a special deal ha ha.
I once thought I might like to have a bumper sticker that says, "What has taken you away today from the beauty within you?"
Things don't have to be perfect; I see beauty in imperfection. I am never in fear, or deny this beauty; it's very liberating.
and another one I say, "as we grow older beauty moves more and more from the outside to the inside" ... I think that makes us all raving beauties inside! :)

My pastor said, "Why do you try to shine in the way the world would have you shine? You are already beautiful."

It's not about ignoring the ugly in us or in the world. It is about choosing to see with eyes of love.

Another way to look at it is:"Our worst fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'who am I to be so brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?' Actually, who are we not to be? You are a child of God: Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." ~Marianne Williamson

Every person is a flawed human being, however, there is inner beauty within everyone. Develop our inner beauty, discard the ugliness, and lead a beautiful life. What a great message!
