Advice Columnist has never appeared on my resume, but through some tricky life passages I’ve developed a strong empathy for our common challenges and illusions; especially the illusions part.
I will occasionally select and respond to a letter, that I feel represents a common or particularly difficult issue. The frequency of this depends entirely on your input. If you would like to read some thoughts on the kind of challenges you personally face, this is a good way to let me know what they might be.
I doubt that I’m the best personal adviser out there — but I care — and I might just have some experience that will help.
It could be relationship advice, career advice, emotional help, life path and spiritual advice, meditation coaching, internal energy questions, or creative help. Whatever it is — putting it into words is a great beginning. Composing a clear, informative, and concise question, is taking powerful action toward solutions that will untangle and enrich your life.
It’s anonymous and it’s free. Maybe there’s something you can’t discuss with anyone who knows you. Well, no one here will know who you are. And don’t forget that this is a blog. That means your letter, if selected, and my response, are wide open for comments and suggestions from other readers. All you have to do is ask.
How to get personal advice
Use the form below to send in your request for advice. Please be as clear and concise as you can. Employ point form where possible. Advice requests that are brief but informative, and that ask definite questions, will help me to understand your situation.
For the record, I am not a professional counselor. My offer is based only on my personal experience, my empathy, and my desire to help. If you can relate to the articles in Zen-Moments, and you feel that I might be able answer a question for you, then I’d be happy to offer my best in return.
The selected letters and my responses will be published in the regular post format, identified as Zen Advice posts. They will be categorized under Zen Advice Column in the Topics menu on the sidebar to make it easy to track and read all past advice column posts. Only your first name and city will be published.
